Academic Partners
Colleges and universities can partner with Pittsburgh Semester as sponsoring or affiliated schools. Sponsoring schools have representation on Pittsburgh Semester’s Academic Policy Board, whereas affiliated schools do not. Currently, Bluffton University and Malone College are sponsoring schools. Geneva College and Waynesburg University are affiliated schools.
All four schools have endorsed Pittsburgh Semester as an official off-campus program. If you’re a student at any of them, you can earn a full semester’s worth of academic credit by attending Pittsburgh Semester and all the credits will automatically transfer because you’ll remain, for official purposes, enrolled at your home school. Finally, depending on your school, it costs about or exactly the same as if you stayed on campus. See Financial Aid for more details.
What if your school isn't connected? Two options: 1) Sing protest songs outside the academic dean’s office until the school joins. 2) Contact Pittsburgh Semester for help. We can talk (rather than sing) to your dean. Or we might just help you get enrolled, for a semester, in one of the partner schools.
